Does anyone pay full price for TVs?

So, you've just bought yourself a brand new LCD or LED TV.

You got a great price, you're pleased with yourself.

How big was your discount ?
Did you use :

  • A cashback site ?
  • An online discount voucher ?
  • A coupon from your newspaper ?
  • An exclsuive discount for newsletter subscribers ?
  • A combination of all the above ?
You're not alone !
As this article in The Telegraph elaborates, nobody pays full price anymore, and it is not taboo to talk about it ! The survey suggests that 8 out of 10 people have declined to buy something if it's not on a discount.
I think with a big purchase like a TV that figure must be even higher !!

All the big brands - TESCO, Ryanair, easyJet, Amazon etc etc got where they are by being big discounters - that's just the way things are these days.

Buying a flat screen, LCD TV can be quite confusing. There are so many opinions out there about what is most important in a TV. I am going to try and whittle out all the noise and figure out what is the best choice of LCD TV at the moment.
