Win a SONY LCD TV

Win another TV competition

Regular readers will know that since losing my job I have kind of cooled on the idea of a nice new HD LCD TV, well I still want but simply can't afford it at the moment.

Last week I looked at a comp with a spanking 42" LG Plasma + and Xbox 360.

The same website also has a Sony LCD TV up for grabs. Only 20" but still a nice piece of kit.

I figured out a bit more about how the website works now. When you first join you get 5 entries into the comp you are interested in but further entries can only be gained by agreeing to get some other offer, could be that they send a holiday brochure to your house for instance. Quite painless really but I do worry that a whole load of people sign up for stuff they don't really have any interest in and the mail they get goes straight in the bin. Think of the environment !

Win a 42" HDTV

If you can't afford to buy a HDTV then you could try to win one instead.

This time it's a Plasma TV you can win and since it's free I won't complain but if I was buying I would always go LCD !

Just been sent this by a friend and had a go... bit of a pain as you have to give them your marital status and a few other personal details so could be a recipe for junk mail but anyway, it's free to enter.

Win a samsung TV and PS3

Win a Samsung HDTV plus PS3

Nice chance to win a "Samsung HD TV". I love the way all these competitions to win a TV I have found don't actually say any more than the brand of TV they are giving away and sometime the size. Either they are being tight and getting the cheapest they can find or they are paranoid of getting sued or something in case the TV they advertise goes out of stock.

Anyway here is the link.
Nice and easy to enter - you just have to answer this question then register :

What's the name of the actor who plays John McClane in the Die Hard movies ?

Bruce Willis ?!

Closing date / Terms
Competition closes on Saturday 28 Feb 2009. Competition winner will be notified by phone and/or email by Wednesday 4 March 2009. Unclaimed prize will be redrawn on Tuesday 31 March 2009. UK only.

M & S five year guarantee on TVs

Marks & Spencer are offering a free five year guarantee on TVs

Seems like M&S is getting real on the LCD TV market with a few great offers :

1) Free 5 year guarantee... Plus no paperwork to get this. Just keep your receipt.

2) Free Blu - Ray player with selected Sony LCD Tvs

3) New lower prices on their range, I noticed the Samsungs had come down a lot.

4) Free delivery and installation.

OK, OK, Where they have put "Free" we need to consider this as "included" but I think it's good to see that a high quality, trustworthy retailer like M&S is now getting competitive. To be honest they weren't really on my shopping list until this free 5 year guarantee popped up but I can recommend their website as . . .

Well worth a look - the website is pretty functional, you can browse by screen size and price as well as the brand collection such as "Sony W series" or "Samsung series 5"

Remember you've got to be in it to win it.

Enter before Feb 23rd.

Good Luck

Buying a flat screen, LCD TV can be quite confusing. There are so many opinions out there about what is most important in a TV. I am going to try and whittle out all the noise and figure out what is the best choice of LCD TV at the moment.
